Three Pass Puzzle

This is an interactive built for MathsWorld London. MathsWorld teach mathematical concepts through interactive learning.

This puzzle is a physical demonstration of the three pass protocol encription method. Your message is hidden inside the black box and your objective is to move it to the other side and open the box.

The trouble is that the box can only be moved to the other side when it is locked, there are two locks on the box and two keys on either side. Players have to work out how to lock, unlock and pass the box a number of times to achieve this objective. The method is same technique used for onloine message encrytion - The three pass protocol.

Watch the video to see it in action, but note this will give away the solution and messages in the box!
